These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Taskhogs website, mobile experiences, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read them carefully — by using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, browsing, booking a service, applying as a tasker, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • "Taskhogs," "we," "our," "us" refers to the operator of the Service.
  • "Customer" means an individual who books a Service through the platform.
  • "Tasker" means an independent professional who provides services via the platform.
  • "Booking" means a confirmed request for a Tasker to perform a specified job at a specified time and location.
  • "Content" includes text, images, reviews, messages, and other materials submitted to the Service.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Our Role as a Platform

Taskhogs is a marketplace that connects Customers with independent Taskers. Taskers are not employees, agents, or partners of Taskhogs. We do not perform the underlying services ourselves and are not a party to the service contract between Customer and Tasker, except where expressly stated (for example, where we act as limited payment collection agent).

5. Bookings & Quotes

Quotes generated by the Service are estimates based on the information you provide. The final price may be adjusted to reflect the actual scope of work, additional time, parts, or access difficulties identified at the job site. Any material changes will be communicated to you for approval before extra work begins.

A Booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation from the Service. Time windows (e.g., morning, afternoon, evening) are estimates; arrival times may vary due to traffic or earlier jobs.

6. Pricing & Payments

Prices are displayed in your local currency and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. By providing a payment method, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge that method for the total amount of your Booking, including any approved additional charges.

Payment is processed through a third-party payment provider. You are responsible for any fees imposed by your bank or card issuer. Tipping is optional and goes directly to the Tasker.

7. Cancellations, Reschedules & Refunds

  • Free cancellation: cancel or reschedule at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled start time.
  • Late cancellation: cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time may incur a fee of up to 25% of the Booking total.
  • No-show: if no one is present at the address during the agreed window, the Tasker may leave and you may be charged the full Booking amount.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear.

8. Customer Obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate job details, including dimensions, access requirements, and any hazards.
  • Ensure the work area is safe, accessible, and that any required parts, hardware, or instructions are available on arrival.
  • Be present (or have an authorized adult present) during the job.
  • Treat Taskers with courtesy and respect.

9. Tasker Obligations

Taskers represent and warrant that they will:

  • Hold all licenses, certifications, and insurance required by applicable law.
  • Perform services in a professional, workmanlike manner.
  • Comply with these Terms, applicable laws, and any platform policies.
  • Not solicit Customers off-platform to circumvent fees.

10. Messaging & Communications

The Service includes in-app messaging between Customers and Taskers (with platform support replying on behalf of Taskers where applicable). Messages may be reviewed for safety, fraud prevention, and quality assurance. Do not share sensitive personal information, payment details, or contact information for off-platform transactions.

11. Satisfaction Guarantee

If the work performed is defective or incomplete, contact us within 72 hours of job completion. We will work with you and the Tasker to remedy the issue, which may include a return visit, partial refund, or other reasonable resolution at our discretion.

12. Insurance & Liability

Taskers are independent contractors and are required to maintain their own insurance. Where Taskhogs offers supplementary coverage, the terms, limits, and exclusions of that coverage are described separately and apply only to eligible claims related to completed Bookings made through the Service.

You must report any property damage to us within 72 hours of the job, with photos and a description, to be eligible for any claim consideration.

13. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, and graphics, is owned by Taskhogs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

14. User Content & Reviews

You retain ownership of Content you submit but grant Taskhogs a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

Reviews must reflect honest, first-hand experiences. We may remove Content that violates these Terms, is unlawful, or is materially misleading.

15. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or abuse other users.
  • Attempt to bypass payment, fees, or platform safeguards.
  • Upload viruses, scrape data, or interfere with the Service's operation.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.

16. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g., payment processors, maps, authentication providers). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.

17. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users, or for any other lawful reason. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., payment, liability, IP) will remain in effect after termination.

18. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY PARTICULAR TASKER WILL BE AVAILABLE.

19. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TASKHOGS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO TASKHOGS IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

20. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Taskhogs, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

21. Disputes & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Taskhogs is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through good-faith negotiation; failing that, in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

Where permitted by law, you and Taskhogs agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in a class action.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
